Four generations of the Fraser family of Hamiota appear together. Great grandfather W. C. Fraser, 97, came to the district in 1881, with son K. R. Fraser and daughter Mrs. C Harrison of Vancouver and baby Wendy Marie Harrison eight months.

W I Notes April Meeting At Municipal Hall

The April meeting of the Wl was held in the Municipal Hall with a large attendance. Mrs. Ruth erford presiding. Mrs. Murray Coupland showed a table of cake cookies and many other dainties. Mrs. Cumm ings with her class of childrens singing was enjoyed.

Hospital Notes Women's Aid meets in Rest Room

The Womens Aid to the Ham iota District Hospital No 7A held its March meeting with President Mrs. W W Currie chairing. Twelve districts were represented. Cardale donated six crib sheets. The group set Hospital Day Tea and Tour for Saturday May 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. Next meeting April 23 at 2 30 p.m.

Lets Have Better Roads in Canada Highway vision urged

The Manitoba Good Roads Association and Woodlands council push federal aid for through highways mirroring U S cost sharing. They urge using revenue from car taxes to fund immediate road work and advocate wide safe highways to boost travel and national pride.
