The Hamiota and District Health Centre Auxiliary met March 27 with 12 districts represented. Minutes from the prior meeting were approved and the treasurer reported a balance of 477.60 after allocations of 150.00 and expenses of 67.37.
Lyndon and Melinda Kunheggi were photographed in Toronto as models for Olympic coins. A Canadian artist designed the Figure Skating coin depicting a male and female in a flawless spiral. The non profit program funds Olympic teams and facilities costs in Calgary.
Manitoba Heart Foundation and the Manitoba Physical Education Teachers Association sponsor Jump Rope For Heart this April. Participating schools receive an educational package and a pledge drive culminates in a Jump-Off with funds supporting heart disease and stroke research.
