The Hamiota municipal council met April 3 1926 with all members present Keeve presiding The 1925 financial report was adopted and printed copies issued to ratepayers A weed inspector position was advertised for 1926 cemetery lawn mower and spray pump approved road draggers named for 1926 Ward committees listed Bids to Royal Bank for current expenses and road work were authorized Wages on roads unchanged from 1925 The Reeve to meet with Village Council and Hospital Board on hospital matters Accounts paid and road work costs for Wards 1 3 6 itemized including wolf bounties salaries office expenses stationery and travel funds
Farmers are urged to protect buildings and stock from lightning with proper rods as most damage falls on farms. The Manitoba Agricultural College physics department offers guidance and a revised bulletin on lightning protection, and can advise on aerial lightning arresters with a rough installation sketch.
