Public notice from Shire Secretary D Walls invites skilled workers to apply for munitions related shop positions in Victoria. Details include application procedures at the Shire Office and eligibility for those engaged in munitions labor amid local council actions and road/overhanging tree regulations.
Shire secretary D. Waldeldh appeals to men of Mount Rouse and Penshurst to report for repatriation duties. Apportionment forms may be bad at Bhire Afties. Penshurst and surrounding areas urged to fill forms at once and send to headquarters.
A reward of £10 is offered for information leading to the identification of person or persons leaving broken bottles on any street or road in Mount Howes Shire. Offenders will be prosecuted. Also notice of public health regulations on labeling and containers for food and banned practices in Melbourne and Victoria with penalties up to ten pounds.
A Portland area order targets seven persons found interfering with the Sanitary Service Agency. The notice demands respect for property and compliance with the order under local authority. Further actions will follow to enforce restrictions.
BB Rasgere reports that sheep owners injure road stock and mislead registered stock through improper practices. The Council declares its intention to prosecute all offenders. Traveling stock with unsuitable destinations may not fall under regulation.
The notice states an appeal to the principal for contributions to any fund within the Shire. Portland consent is required for each appeal and must be obtained from residents. Applications for authority to appeal may be obtained at the Abire Offices, Portland.
