Shire of Bundas announces revisions to Part XXII governing vehicles, requiring every constructed vehicle to display the owner name and if applicable the vehicle plate in white letters at least one inch high and proportionate breadth. Order dated April 8.
Public notices invite tenders for contract work on street lamps in Penehuret with details on submission, penalties, and office locations. Separate health regulations outline labeling of skimmed and separated milks and food safety rules enforced by Victoria Board of Public Health, including penalties and effective dates.
With public health sanction the Mount Fouse Shire Council announced that water in Penshurst Spring Creek is unfit for domestic or human consumption and must not be used for drinking. Authorities warn road users and drivers to avoid the creek and watercourses near Martin Street Penshurst. A penalty of five pounds per day applies from May 1 1913 for those who draw and use the water, unless they provide written notes to the Shire Secretary detailing the intended use.

Notice warns stock owners and drovers that from 1 June stock wandering rules in By Laws 15 and 16 will be enforced. Owners must inform Herdman Charles Waller by postcard if intending to move stock through any part of Mount House Shire, otherwise penalties apply.
The Shire of Mount Rouse Council warns drovers not to leave dead carcasses of stock on any land or reserve within the shire. Offenders will be prosecuted. Secretary Walls notes the notice from Shire Offices in Penshurst.
The rate collector for the Shire of Minhemite will attend Hawkesdale on April 23, Orford on April 24, and Magarthur on April 21, 1918, from 12 to 5 p.m. for receiving rates.
