A prolonged storm swept coastal regions bringing heavy rain and strong winds up to 30 miles per hour. Trees fell, ships dragged anchors, and some store fronts suffered damage while residents reported downed power lines and rising flood levels across several towns.
A sale of flowers to aid the War Chest Fund is announced with participants Meya Yournan and Miss McLawn. The event will feature stalls at a location referred to as the Gayre Com and a sale at the Royal Wola. Proceeds note Mr W J Brinks and other local names in attendance.
