Road Closed for Repairs Sparks Court Case in Yass

At Yass police court last week the Shire Council fined John Thomas Best £2 for driving a rented team over a temporarily closed road at Kangiars. Best argued the by path was unsafe due to mud and a by-hole at the 13 mile peg. He described horses sinking and being dug out, claiming the road formation was damaged and life was at risk.
