Attitude of Govt Mone on NSW Railways Dock Proposal
The Guyra and District Chamber of Commerce urges NSW Railways to build a dock at the Guyra goods yard to load and unload vehicles and machinery. Officers argue the crane can lift heavy loads and the cost is unwarranted, but traders say a £10 outlay could recoup revenue through business from Sydney shipments and reduce road transport damage. The note frames the dock as vital to modern transport and asks authorities to view patrons' needs and ease restrictions on other freight.
