Suspensions Shake Group 5 Rugby Decisions at Guyra
Group 5 faces a major dispute after Guyra was suspended preventing them from playing East Armidale in the finals and forcing forfeit of the Vivian Cup final. Tingha and Glen Innes faced automatic suspensions for fielding a disqualified side, while referee McCanna received a suspension for handling the Guyra Tingha match. A special meeting was planned for Glen Innes but halted by weather. Group President Cahill and treasurer Love debated whether Guyra should play the final, with Judiciary Committee members urged for unbiased judgment.
