Yesterday afternoon rain set in with 125 points noted by 9 am and appears to continue. Church intimations note a Sunday service on 29 October with Hymn defined. An Armidale orchestra is engaged for a social on Friday 10 November run by the M U L O F lodge to raise greas proceeds for Armidale hospital and ambulance.
The Guyra Shire declares an election to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the death of Councillor Browning. Nomination day is November 2, 1933 with the election set for November 1, 1933. nominations require two electors from Riding A and must reach the Returning Officer at Shire Chambers, Guyra, by 5 pm.
