Mrs M Hayden announces the opening of a business premises at Endley Street Guyra opposite Tetters Hotel. The official opening is scheduled for Saturday with inspection invited and a special event noted in the announcement.

The death of Mrs Emeline Stevenson wife of Mr Albert Edwin Stevenson occurred Saturday evening after a brief illness. At thirty two she was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. St. James of the district. She was conveyed to Armidale Hospital where she died without regaining consciousness. She leaves a son about eight years old. The news was received with regret by friends. The remains were brought to Queanbeyan on Sunday for a service at St James Church conducted by Rev A Varria before the funeral, with a large attendance and arrangements by Piddingtons of Armidale.

Wheaton notes such weight and condition are rare and that cattle locally can reach styles comparable to more distant markets.
