England and Australia urged to supply more troops
Official telegrams deny any assertion that proposals came from Australia. The British Army Council asks Australia to provide five 3-Divisions now in formation. The government acts on this request and England also seeks troops from Canada and New Zealand to replace trained men who may be available.
