Government Censure Motion Voted Down Amid Debates
The censure motion failed by 72 to 39 after a long debate ending at dawn. The Labor party backed the Government following late discussions. the Country party shifted to support after a ruled amendment was excluded. Sir John Lee ordered remissions only by the Executive Council.
