Mrs Cherry aged 38 wife of Mr T Cherry of Wandsworth died in Armidale Hospital after eight years in the town. She leaves three sons and two daughters. Funeral service was at the church by Rev B A Harris with burial in Wandsworth Cemetery. Floral tokens came from many locals and schoolmates bore wreaths to the graveside.

Mrs Bridget Ryan 74 mother of Postmaster FP Ryan died in Concord Sydney on Monday night. She accompanied him to Sydney for her illness and returned home where he learned of her death. Survived by two daughters Mary and Annie and three sons Pat Jack and Tim. Funeral from St Marys Connard to Catholic Cemetery Honkwood yesterday morning.
A community letter from Armidale questions Mr Wilson for sending a cable to the King about advising the Governor to dismiss Premier Lang. The King’s reply, read aloud, thanks Bronley for the cable and says Gamo will comply until they meet again.
