Excellently presented film program blends music humour and romance with a European mythic backdrop. Eleanor Powell Hay Bolger and Mary Maguire star in a lavish theatre spectacle featuring Laurel and Hardy and a Disney cartoon, plus diverse acts and newsreels to entertain a capacity crowd.
The Diggers Ball drew 450 dancers at Arcadia Theatre on Friday night with Keo Jaedey's and Parker's Orchestras plus musicians from Armidale and Aralia. At the Lot monthly meeting of the Guyrt Hronch of the Agricultura Kure MH A Gratham Esq district Agroatologis for Glen Tunes spoke on laying down improved pastures and lucerne. The talk drew strong interest with about forty five minutes of questions and seven endholders arranging farm visits to start Pastures. The Bureau Secretary Mr Frewin will arrange visits for landholders contemplating schemes. The meeting saw 47 attendees with twelve apologies and expressed strong district support for Bureau activities and future enrollment of landholders as members under the slogan Every Landholder a Member.
A farewell will be extended to Sergt. Unwin on his retirement from the Department of the Shire Chambers on Monday May at 8 p.m. An invitation is extended to all citizens to attend.

A Vauxhall owned by A Hartmann of Dundee and driven by B B Kiehno of Dundee overturned on the Ten terfield road eight miles from Glen Innes after a door opened due to wind pressure. The driver was not injured but was thrown from the car. front off-side door torn away and damage extensive. The wedding party in town included O H Kiehno and Mina Bargen.
