Guyra Shire Council meets with A P Dutton as president. The engineer reports monthly progress on roadworks including Armidale road depot exchange, Aborfoyle road repairs, and Wongmibids and Ebor South Grafton roads. Inspector notes sanitary conditions good, one diphtheria case, and tree clearing recommendations.
The report records forward balances of £55 and £470 with earlier items £746 and £1 consolidating. Items include road repairs from Muldoon and Wilkinson, alightings for slaughter licensing, footpath works near Ti Gayry and Sandy Creek, and requests for water works and sanitary improvements. A motion sought an additional vote to accelerate distant works.

Electors focus on securing support for P. R. Little ahead of the state elections set for March 20. The forthcoming contest mobilizes local groups and reinforces party planning across districts.
Fragmentary OCR text hints at health habits within a wartime home. Names and places are garbled, but references suggest concerns around medical care, daily routines, and the impact on family life amid upheaval. No clear events or persons emerge.
