No Agronomist or Fruit Officer for Uralla
The Minister for Agriculture reports no trained agronomist or fruit officer can be stationed at Uralla due to lack of trained personnel. A district agronomist, H. A. Grantham, is based in Armidale and can advise Uralla landholders. Northern Tableland districts are covered by agronomists in Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Armidale, and Tamworth, though smaller districts would allow closer instruction.

The Minister for Transport says the Commissioner for Railways will not alter travel conditions for show judges. Judges have long had single fare plus one third or two thirds intra state tickets, with no reduction beyond pre 1938 concessions, deemed reasonable by the Commissioner.
