Lions and wolves escape during Marrarandi performance

During Wirths circular Marrarandi show on Friday three lions and two wolves escaped. Panic rose as animals roamed the street and audience fled high balconies. A resident, Mr Cannan, was injured by a lion and later killed to prevent further harm. The animals were recaptured after 1 am with lamps and cages.

Little Girl Dies in Armidale Coroner Inquest

The District Coroner Mr G Atkins held an inquest at Armidale Quart House into the death of 10 year old Mary Ann O Piaherty at Wat Armi dale station master's residence. Post mortem by Dr Chanvery and Dr W E Harris found inflamed lungs kidney congestion and brain congestion with death attributed to natural causes from replication and inflammation of the lungs.
