Guyra P and A Society meeting notes show hesitant show dates
The Gayra P and A Association held a Saturday meeting in Guyra with President Arent Haeute A. W. Everett presiding. Minutes from May were read and approved. They deferred a financial appeal to Inverell P and A Society and sought guidance from Armidale district officials regarding the matter. The group discussed date changes for 181 Shows with opposition from neighboring societies and reaffirmed that February is too early for the Guyra Show. The treasurer reported a debit balance of £219. Subcommittees were appointed for horse, sheep and wool, farm god pavilion, poultry, dogs, amusement, motor traffic, and more, with a meeting scheduled for July 25. The secretary was directed to convey condolences for Mr. F. F. White’s death and to inform the White family of the Society’s sympathy. The meeting ended with business concluded.
