Tingha News Play Centre opens under National Fitness body

Tingha's holiday play centre in Tingha opens as the first in the northern state under the National Fitness Council. About 70 children enrolled on opening day, rising to nearly 200, with activities at Tingha Palais and Young Park supervised by J Hines, N Dettmann, and J Bwain. Children enjoy games, cricket, swimming, crafts, and singing, receiving milk each morning. A future picnic to Smith's Willows is planned. The local committee repaired facilities, including Young Park, and the centre has proven popular with parents and children enjoying supervised holidays. Donations continue to fund the centre, now with about £5 in credit.
