Backing Guyra’s Energetic Civic War Efforts
Guyra and Wongwibinda branches of the Red Cross, W.V.S. and Ladies’ groups report broad war aid. Funds raised from 1939 to 1943 total substantial sums. P.O.W. adoptions, comfort parcels, clothing, books, and Christmas hampers are dispatched. Memorial Hall funds and war loan drive characterize local efforts, with large community support and continued assistance to service members and families.
