The Inverell Diamond Fields Company held an adjourned extraordinary meeting in London on November 14. The board proposed a 38s per share assessment for the pro new company with 2s called up and 6d due on application and allotment, plus 6d on each further call and a final 1s call only with majority shareholder consent. Chairman noted historic expenses and repairs, and that the works are now in good order with fresh capital to secure eventual success. Formal resolutions to wind up the old company and approve the scheme were carried unanimously.
A report from Carina Lismore states regular molasses doses are claimed to cure cancer. The item notes the alleged treatment could boost the possession of nine doctors and ten solicitors.
