The Annual Show opens Tuesday with entries closing Friday. Horse sections attract strong entries and jumping, cattle, and pavilion displays promise high quality. Special trains from Armidale and Guyra announce reachable attendance. a patriotic fund event and various advertisements fill the issue.
A train delivered a donation to the Red Cross after a jam organized by local supporters. The event was led by Mrs. Ate Philpo of Warroo Station and aided by the community.
The Highbere committee met at the Grandatand with Mr. A W Everett presiding. Members discussed show entries, racing permissions, charity events, and logistics for Patriotic Day. Donations and supplies were allocated, and officers were appointed to coordinate judges, stewards, and transport.
Thanks are extended by Retr EL Parsons to Messrs AL Jezeard LL AL Chishelm and A Milen for kindness and practical assistance in the case. Gratitude is also offered to Mr Campbell Smuth of Armidale for prompt attentions and skilled treatment.
The Guyra Red Cross League announces a jumble stall at the Show Ground on the Show's second and third days. Donations of all kinds are welcomed except fruit and cakes. preferred gifts on Patriotic Day. Donations may be given after 10 am. Mrs J Youman Honorary Secretary.
