The Guyra Shire Council debates adopting Land and Income Tax Assessment for current rates to ensure fair taxation. It warns against old value bases and urges appointing shire valuators to levy taxes on all landowners. Council cites a bank balance and government arrears, urging vigorous road and works spending.
Sayers would simply be isolated owing to the tinpanvias roads. Pasture weather has been fine and dry so far, sparing us from poor terrain, but that should not stop settlers from receiving attention. If the Council fails to advance road improvements, the value of Local Government is in question.
A local weather report notes warmer conditions and a forecast of milder weather after a run of cool days. Citizens report postal delays and telegraph issues at the railway station, while Anglican services plan a new reader and a church event. Cattle sale at McGregor and plans to open a Guyra branch are announced, with social events and refreshment arrangements noted.
A weather affected gathering at the Cuyra Oddfelio featured a concert organized by Mr dy Ky Lnguo to fund a buggy for the Presbyterian mission. Despite rain and cold, about 20 items were performed, including juvenile citations and local performances, with the National Anthem closing the event.
Next week many acts appear in town for a busy program at the pavilion and surrounding grounds. Gar Ansual plans performances Tuesday and Wednesday while Yoh Koo Aaeon and Paton Habibitors share exhibits and judging to determine entries for the ring. The Chienga Innyllory Co will display beadwork and jewelry, and Me the amahort lady Md will host receptions on the grounds. Wir. T. Hi Bole and the auctioneers schedule sales of stud stock horses and livestock Thursday through Saturday.
A fragment from the REVITIES column notes a transfer of possession to Mudgee figures, with Phi it Nurh Guyra to take over on Monday next after a Sunday gathering. The piece mentions Ouyra Union and a Sunday afternoon event as it references a decorated occasion.
A garbled summary notes New England Ram Sales and related entities. It references a sale event and private dealings with unclear participants. Entities include New England Ram Sales and IEEE REI with mentions of buyure ware and puisna in a damaged OCR fragment.
Fragmented OCR notes show scattered figures for Wheat Oats and other commodities with unclear dates and values. The readable items reference price ranges and bids but lack coherent structure or identifiable entities.
