Guyra Graziers Discuss Canning Factory for New England
At a Guyra Graziers Association meeting Mr D J Fraser urged support for a local canning plant to process peas beans carrots and other produce. Mr H F White argued the project vital and sought backing from the D W A C and Minister for Agriculture, proposing Tamworth New England reach and Armidale University study. The group endorsed pursuing the plan with Armidale tied research and annual production to keep a cannery viable.
