Railway Conference debates against North Coast line
A Saturday conference at Schon it Arts gathered Aldermen Claverie and Wang with regional delegates to oppose the North Coast railway and urge a tableland to coast route. Speakers argued the line wastes public money while a tableland link would aid farmers and bring settlers to New England. the meeting endorsed pursuing a route decision at a future conference and notifying government officials.
