Dont Graze Kikoyu Until Well Established Pasture Advice

Do not graze Kikuyu grass until it is firmly established. Grazing too early risks damage to the young runners. Kikuyu prospers on most soils in dairying districts if given time to develop roots. It forms dense pasture, helps control bracken and weeds, but planting on land slated for future cultivation is discouraged as the grass becomes hard to wind down once well rooted.
