The response to the working bee last Sunday morning was very poor with only 11 attendees. They completed valuable work and another session is scheduled for next Sunday at 9 30. Larger turnouts will ensure golf at the start of next season.

The Guyra Club reports goodwill visits from New Castle District Bowling Association and Dorrigo Club while planning another summer visit. Founding members Stephens and Sullivan are mourned, Publicity Officer Les Madden ill. A Jubilee Day competition and NE DBA White Pennants participation marked the year. New committees were elected and improvements planned including possible public address system and honorarium for the greenkeeper.
A Friday night meeting at Armidale ranged through maidens and graded stakes over 318 yards. Distances, times, and betting odds are listed for each division, with Hero Bob and Special Cognac among notable winners and several dead heats noted across the program.
