Mr A V Cassidy blacksmith North Guyra has patented an improved retaining device for ox yoke bows. The spring tempered steel key is a marked improvement over the old design and requires no peculiarities. Although new on the market Cassidy has sold many units and the device is expected to supersede the old key when widely known.

Mr Thomas M L A spoke at Prieat’s farewell praising Lands End timber reserve prospects and a proposed light railway from Glen Innes to the reserve to haul timber to market. A government officer recently favorably reported the plan and the day may soon come for major work, as the season’s final meeting of the Coursing Club closes on the 29th and 30th.
