In Guyra club action T L Caddy upset H Burgess to reach the Members' Cup final after a tense battle. Ian Stewart won the large 20-player stableford with 39 points on count back while J A D Cameron, Smith and K Redman also finished on 39. Sunday's Bisque Par saw A D C Tuthill prevail by five over B White, with White aiming to win the A A Mackenzie Trophy next week.

Briggs Challenge Cup saw Mrs Joan Jones and Mr Keith Oehlers defeat Mrs F Foster and Mr KK Bee six games to one. Women’s Hockey Draws In Social Opener

The rag Reds played a social game this afternoon against Pes from loan footballers. The result was a five all draw. The match gave the players valuable practice and spectators witnessed steady teamwork despite imperfect footwear. The lasses showed good spirit and potential, suggesting bright prospects for the team’s future.

Country Queen Dance Supports Miss Noela McLean Campaign

A country dance at Black Mountain Hall last Friday raised funds for Miss Noela McLean and the Country and Auxiliaries. Hats prizes went to G Youman and Mrs S Hengner, with additional winnings donated by locals and auctioned items including a dressing table set and wine. Organizers credited A Navin, G Youman, B Youman, J Williams, P Hutton, J Wotten, MC Fred McLeod for the success.

Kilbernie Tennis Fund Event Aids Miss McLean

On Saturday afternoon tennis was played at Kilbernie home of Mr and Mrs H A Youman in support of Miss McLean. Prizes donated by Mrs H A Youman went to Miss Mabel Vincent and Mr Colin White for most games. Mrs L Wotten won the second prize and a snake donated by N McLean went to Ate Ning Youman and Mrs M W White. Organisers included Mrs H A Youman and Mrs G Youman with help from G McLeod and L Wotten.
