The seven month old child of Mr and Mrs H A Chisholm of Guyra died Monday afternoon after a kidney illness. The funeral was held Tuesday morning in the Presbyterian section of the local cemetery with Rev E N McKie conducting prayers and H Buckley in charge of arrangements.
Pleasant Saturday afternoon as Guyra Tennis Club visited Black Mountain Club. Five men plus four singles players represented each side, final score Guyra 13 sets 86 games to Black Mountain 4 sets 70 games. Matches were tight with many sets decided at the last game. Mrs Cameron and Miss Doosey versus the Misses Hundebo showcased high quality tennis. Return match planned on Guyra courts at an early date.

Ministers Loughlin and Hound faced questions on private insurers during a Conowindra discussion of the Workers Comp Act. At the Court House the Coroner presided over the inquest into the death of Alice May Farrell found dead in bed at Nurse Maloney's Private Hospital. Evidence described a suicide note and large quantities of strychnine, with family members and medical officers detailing her quiet, sometimes low spirits, and last seen on Saturday afternoon before her death on Sunday morning.
The Coroner reports the cause of death as flowing from the effects of poison administered by a person named Flo in August. The bereaved family extend sympathy, and the remains were laid to rest in the Cemetery at Lera on Monday. Buckley undertaker conducted the funeral with many relatives in attendance.
In Guyra Police Court before Mr Perry P M Thomas Willam Robionin was charged with driving a motor vehicle in excess of the speed limit in Bradleye Street Crayre on 22 June. The PM fined £5 with costs and warned future offences near schools would incur harsher penalties. Separately Walter Mander sued Gayre garage for 95 7s for work and repairs to a car. verdict for plaintiff with costs £1 2d. Several civil cases were dismissed or adjourned. mediation praised by the M and solicitors Mackenzie Abbott and Innes.
