After months of deliberation the Inverell to Goyra and Inverell to Glen Innes railway connection proposals were rejected by the Public Works Committee. The Examiner cites Mr. F J Thomas MLA stating the coastal line question left the inland links in abeyance, rendering the inquiry moot and a costly exercise for taxpayers.
