Teachers College Defeats Inverell Inrugby Trial Closer Than Predicted

A large crowd watched Teachers College beat Inverell 19 to 12 in a debut trial for the newly formed Inverell Union. Inverell led early with a penalty and a winger score, but Teachers rallied after halftime, with W Reichel and Don Lawler each scoring tries and M Graham converting. The final score stayed 19-12 as Thomas and R Whitred added late touches.

League players to change codes stay with Armidale City

Keith Ochlers Barry Sterr and hook Lyes ex-Leagues players of Guyra now seem certain to stay with Armidale City Union this season. They trained at the sports ground on Saturday with 19 players including two new Guyra arrivals L Roach and W Burke. Graham White elected City A grade captain Noel Crozier vice captain.

Anzac Day Observances Ahead In Arcadia

Ex service personnel gather at Brad ley and Qilera Streets at 10 am on April 25 to form the march to the Memorial Hall. After the ceremony a combined religious service will be held at the Arcadia Theatre at 11 am. wreaths will be laid. Bill Cameron and Don Parker lead the march with invites to ex service organisations and the public.

The Bundarra Show reported a profit of 58 15 6 from 1951 activities. The Women's Auxiliary raised £20 6 7 at a street stall contributing to the total surplus.

Roberts Cup Defeat and Weekend Bowls Results

Guyra Women Defeat Uralla In Hockey Showdown

A large crowd at the Guyra recreation ground watched the Guyra Women’s Hockey Club beat Uralla 5-2. Goals came from Pat O’Donnell and Noelene Mather among others, with Uraila’s centre forward scoring twice. Outstanding players were O’Donnell and Mather, while Parry and Hayden supported the backs well.
