Teachers College Defeats Inverell Inrugby Trial Closer Than Predicted
A large crowd watched Teachers College beat Inverell 19 to 12 in a debut trial for the newly formed Inverell Union. Inverell led early with a penalty and a winger score, but Teachers rallied after halftime, with W Reichel and Don Lawler each scoring tries and M Graham converting. Goals came from Pat O’Donnell and Noelene Mather among others, with Uraila’s centre forward scoring twice.
