At a Guyra Unemployed League meeting held Friday night members unanimously agreed to request the Chief Secretary to consider a 40 open season for opossums and ask whether blankets could be supplied to unemployed people in need. They also decided to seek cooperation from the Armidale Unemployed League in appealing to the Government to discontinue the dole and provide work in its place.
