Bridge Over Railway Sought by Guyra Shire Council
The Guyra Shire Council moves to press for an overhead bridge over the railway line with interim widening of the crossing and footpaths to keep pedestrians off the road. The plan, backed by Dr Wheaton, notes fatal accidents and calls for corner splaying if railway consent is obtained. The Railway Department may fund bridge costs beyond gatekeeping savings. Main Roads funds the rest.
