A living fossil lizard from a small uninhabited New Zealand island, known to Maori as tuatera, arrives at Regent's Park. It belongs to an ancient group linked to crocodiles and tortoises, with a vestigial third eye atop its head. The creature, harmless and good eating, lives in ground holes shared with petrels and is protected by government.

The Leeton Pipe Band performed, and Little Hilda Wright was piped in for two Scottish dances.
