Death of Mrs Mary Russell at Northam Hospital
Mrs Maney Russell aged 36 died after a five month illness at Fermoy Hospital Northam and was buried in the Northam Cemetery Roman Catholic portion. Requiem Mass was at St Joseph’s Church with Father O Donnell officiating at the graveside. Chief mourners included Mrs W G Slater and Rev Mother Lelia, with Mr W G Slater as son in law. Mourners and pallbearers led by Mr J W Parslow assisted with floral tributes.

Mange in swine alarms South Australian stock chief
The South Australian Chief Inspector of Stock Mr T H Williams warned at a general meeting of the Advisory Board of Agriculture that mange in swine may be declared contagious.
