Romney Marsh ram sale in Buenos Aires yields records

A selection of Romney Marsh rams shown by Mesurs Sidney and Poels in Buenos Aires drew keen bidding. The top ram, praised by sheep experts, went to Mr C Newton of Grow Argentine del for £532 7s 6d. Buyers included a Uruguayan livestock agent and Estancia La Primavera, with total sales at 46,608 del and an average of 1165 del.
