The Goldfields Water Scheme Under Fire
A Southern Cross Times abridgment accuses the Goldfields Water Scheme of injustice to the fields. It contrasts 685 miles of extensions serving 730000 acres with 50 miles of Yilgarn lines, noting higher per mile revenue, and alleges farmers pay for water not received while city users avoid charges. It criticizes civil servants and parliament for political games and poor commercial outcomes.
