Railway Accident Near Northam Crashes Baker’s Car
A westbound railway collision occurred shortly before 5 am on Wednesday at Grey Street crossing Northam. Mr E H Schwarse’s baker’s cart driven by his son Harry collided with a train as the horse shied toward the line. The lad remained in the cart and received care at Mrs Birkin’s Palace, with ambulance and Fire Brigade assistance. he was later taken to Northam hospital for treatment.
