Cinderella dance aids Christmas Cheer Fund at Mechanics Institute
A successful Cinderella dance Friday night at the Mechanics Institute supported the Christmas Cheer Fund for soldiers in the trenches. Promoters were Mr Marshall and Miss Mc Auliffe with Mr Lewis as MC and music by Mesdames Royal Broun and Messrs Plaisted Butterly and Royal. A public meeting planned to spur recruiting. Harvesting begins with better than expected results though red rust appears away from the district, promising limited impact on crops.

Leahy Farewelled At Wi Workers Club In Perth Transfer
A large crowd at the Wi Workers Club bid farewell to Mr Leahy who had been transferred to Perth. J. ie chaired the event with toasts to the guest and the Railway Union Our Soldiers. Osbarne Rogers We Frys Brindal Shelton spoke joined by P Rady presenting a travelling tag on behalf of members noting Leahy’s service and that he would be greatly missed. The evening closed with the National Anthem.
