A social and dance marked the opening of the Railway Institute on Wednesday night led by President Harry Cooper. A. Evans of Midland Junction Railway Workshops declared the new building open, with Chas Gibbons and McG. I. Throssell outlining railway history and institute uses. A wedding, a vestry meeting, and a Goomalling Musical and Dramatic Society event are also announced.
