Provincial Revenue Tax Notice for East Kootenay District
Provinсial Revenue Tax and all taxes under the Assessment Act are due for 1896 in the Donald Division of East Kootenay. Taxes are payable at the Court House Golden with early payment rates: half percent on real property, five percent on wild land, one third percent on personal property, and half percent on income. After June 30 1896 rates rise to two thirds on real property, two and a half percent on wild land, half percent on personal property, and three quarters percent on income, plus a per capita tax of $3.00. Golden January 2 1896.

Connacher Estate Creditors Must File Claims by April 1
In the Supreme Court of British Columbia Connacher v Pither creditors of Henry Connacher late of Goblun hotel keeper who died January 1895 must send by registered letter details of their claims and securities to A G M Spragge Donald District of Kootenay. All secured claimants must present securities to Registrar James Ferguson Armstrong at Donald Court House on April 8 1889 at 10 am for adjudication.
