Murder trial opens in Anize Assizes with Lascelles case
The Anize Assizes open with grand jurors sworn and King vs Lascelles and King vs Hawkins on the docket. Lascelles, charged with murder, is deemed unfit for trial due to alleged acute hallucinosis with the court granting temporary removal for health reasons. The jury later returns a verdict of not Guilty on the murder charge after expert testimony from Dr. Manchester and cross examination by Mr. Wilson.
