Assessor and Collector of Golden announces taxes under the Assessment Act for 1896 due in Donald Division East Kootenay. Rates vary by property type and payment date with specific percentages for before and after June 30 1894 and 1896. Per capita Provincial Revenue Tax set at 3.00. January 2 1835.
In the Supreme Court of British Columbia Connacher v Pither creditors of Henry Connacher late of Golden Kootenay hotel keeper who died January 1895 must send by registered letter their addresses descriptions and full particulars of claims and securities by April 1 1893 to A G M Spragge solicitor for James Stevens Connacher executor. All security holders must produce security before Registrar James Ferguson Armstrong at Donald court on April 8 1889 for adjudication.
John McRae holder of free miner certificate 84454 will apply within sixty days to the Gold Commissioner for certificates of improvements to obtain Crown grants for the Simcoe and Lancaster mineral claims. Adverse claims must be sent to the Mining Recorder and action begun before certificates are issued. Agent F W AyLmER dated December 14.
