Public Meeting at School House on Railway Street and Local Needs

A largely attended town meeting chaired by J F Armstrong and D M Rae pressed Col. Baker for rail and road improvements. Speakers urged opening Railway Street, river bank work, a wagon bridge, a courthouse, school expansion, and better fire protection while noting Government and CPR land issues and local tax and development figures. The gathering adjourned after votes and thanks.

Farewell Social for Rev W R Ross at Donald

A large Donald Presbyterian church gathering bid farewell to Rev. W. R. Ross and his family on Wednesday. Mrs. Pitts and Mrs. Boardman entertained with songs while Messrs Sellars and Sutherland performed. Miss Ross received a toilet tray and purse from the congregation. Mr. Ross plans to move to Belmont near Brandyp.
