Gloucester Shire Council meets addresses road and tree program
The Gloucester Shire Council convened with most members present and discussed a state plan to fund tree planting on main roads from July 1 1934, with the Main Roads Department bearing costs and maintenance. It approved a 3620 pound program for resealing Church Street and other works, urged compliance with local veteran preference in hiring, and considered land for an airfield site, rural school leases, and Barrington Tops access.
