Tragic railway crash at Murnulla near Murrurundi
A devastating NSW rail disaster left 26 dead and 37 injured when a goods train derailed on the Waratah Range top near Murnulla. The mail train, following, collided in flames with flying trucks of stone and wool. Rescuers worked through the wreckage as flames lit the night.
