Cabinet in Melbourne aims to revive trade and reduce unemployment
The Federal Cabinet met in Melbourne to jointly revive trade and employment in Australia. Ministers will consult employer and employee groups and bankers on reducing production costs. They will not launch relief works but will aid industry to absorb unemployed with facilities and possible financial help. Proposals include taxing interest on bonds mortgages and unearned increments to boost revenue.
