Examination tour for Jersey herd entries set for NSW
Volume sixteen of the Australian Jersey Herd Society’s Herd Nook notes breeders must have each animal inspected by the society’s examiner before entry. The NSW examiner Mr Alison aims to begin in late September, visiting Dungog Murwillumbah Tweed Heads and continuing along the North Coast to Maitland before proceeding inland toward Merriwa Mudgee Bathurst and the border areas. Breeders will be advised of approximate inspection dates. The coal mining section reports on thick seam utilisation with surveys and testing of ash content by the Department of Mines under Government Geologist Mr E Andrews.
